Getting started

swoop lives in the menu bar (the tray icon) and in the notch. Move the pointer onto the notch to open it. The button in its header switches between the compact and the wide view, and the gear opens Settings.

The song doesn't show up

The first time Spotify or Music plays, macOS asks whether swoop may control it. If you chose Don't Allow, turn it on in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Automation › swoop.

Camera mirror or calendar asks for access

macOS asks once. To change your answer later, go to System Settings › Privacy & Security › Camera, Calendars or Reminders.

My Mac has no notch

On an external display or a Mac without a notch, swoop shows a small notch at the top center of the screen. You can turn it off in swoop's settings.

Files on the shelf

swoop doesn't copy files; it only remembers where they are. If you move or delete a file, it leaves the shelf. Clear Shelf in the menu bar menu empties the shelf.

Uninstalling

Quit swoop from the menu bar menu and move it to the Trash. To remove its settings too, delete the folder ~/Library/Containers/com.dipworks.swoop.
